Duel Masters Staples and Useful Cards Guide No.1 ( how to utilize)

Some people might find Mad Romanoff really hard to use against rush decks, they will rush you till you have 1 or no shields left by the time you summon Mad Romanoff.
This is one simple strategy to play Mad Romanoff against a rush deck.
The key card is Miraculous Meltdown. If you do not know its effect, it is for every shield your opponent has and you do not, he puts a shield back into his hand. He can use shield trigger abilities.

Okay so the rush deck usually will not play blockers, they will play many low costing beat cards to rush your shields. So, first, you hope for a terror pit in your shields. Then, play the card Bloody Shadow and Bloody Squito. Your job will be to charge Miraculous Meltdown into your mana zone, and then wait for Mad Romanoff to come out.

Once Mad Romanoff is out, you should plan yourself to 0 shields left. Then, if there are additional attacks from the opponent, block them. Make sure you have 0 shields left in your shield zone. Your turn, you will evolve Mad Romanoff, and attack with Mad Romanoff. Because Mad's effect is always first, you get to play Miraculous Meltdown from your Mana Zone before the attack goes through. Now, the only threat is Terror Pit, make sure you have at least 1 back up attacker to finish him off, maybe a knight that can attack, those 3 mana few from the Mad Rock Chester deck. If he got super spark, holy awe, warning spike etc, he can use them on Mad.

Reason :
No.1 - He is already tapped when you play Miraculous Meltdown, how can he be tapped again 0.0
No.2 - Warning Spike cannot stop his attack as your attack is declared already, he can only stop your other creature.

This is a strategy against rush decks that burn through your shields quickly.

Another strategy is to play Evolution Burst, Death and Reverse, because Mad is Evolution, you can play both effects. First, burn a blocker, then summon any 3 or less cost from your grave yard, most likely a blocker if you are dying, or any of the 2 3 mana cards..

The last strategy is to combo Mad with Chester and Rock.

First, you play any spell from your mana zone with Mad's effect, then you play the same spell from your grave with Chester's effect. The spell with be in the grave because after mad play's the spell, it goes to the grave!
This will mean.

2x Primal Scream - you have successfully dropped 6 cards into your graveyard, most likely added a lot of spells into the grave. Then you can summon fernando for very little cost.

2x Terror Pit - Clear your opponent high attack monsters!

Duel Masters Staples and Useful Cards Guide No.1

This post is for beginners who have just joined the japanese metagame, or who have just started Duel masters..

The first card i will like to introduce is MAD ROMANOFF!
Mad Romanoff - 5 Mana Mad Deck Evolution
Effect - To summon this card, you look at the top 3 of your deck, choose any creature from those 3 cards, and summon this card over that card as a evolution. The rest of the cards go to the graveyard. If there is no monster there, all the 3 cards are sent to the grave.

Fire/5 mana/3000+
Effect : When this card attacks , you can meteor burn 1 card below this card ( meteor burn means to send 1 or more cards specified for that effect below the creature to the graveyard, something like soul blast in vanguard), and cast a fire or dark spell cost 6 or less from your mana zone for no cost. Put that spell into the graveyard after casting it.

Firstly, why this card is imbalanced. You can play stuff like terror pit, miraculous meltdown, etc etc from your mana zone! So there is no need to be afraid that your spells are gonna do nothing and rot in the mana zone! Secondly, he can link with Chester Romanoff and Rock Romanoff, and Rock Romanoff is a Infinite Grave Evolution, so he has many cards to meteor burn.
Once you god link Mad with Rock, you can meteor burn from Rock, so you can abuse his effect many times in a row!

Pros - Can cast spells for no cost
- Makes great comebacks
- If linked, can use effect more than once
- Not very high cost

Cons - It is limited ( you can play 1 copy in a deck only )
- Hard to find, the only way you can get this card is from Mad Rock Chester DMC
- Expensive

1st December and 2nd December

Well, hello every again, this is Team Triterra. This is just a post about events on 1st and 2nd of December. Well, 1st of December, the Singapore Duel Masters Guild ( a Facebook group ) is hosting a tournament at Jurong East Thousand Taste Trading, and i try and record some duels and post if on our Youtube Account, which reminds me.

Our youtube account is up! It is called Team Triterra! Please go and suscribe and enjoy our videos on deck review, booster box openings etc. We have just uploaded a video of us opening a box of DMR02, duel masters box. The pulls were pretty good.

On the 2nd of December, Team Triterra will be going to a Team Tournament for Vanguard at Hougang Lorong Ah Soo Shop. Our players this time is me, William, Allan and Austen.

Hopefully, we can win something out of it, but the saying goes, winning is not everything, its the experience that matters.

We will be posting our decklists after the tournament as there might be competitors reading this post and we do not want a case of scan deck, p.s guys.

Anyway, i will be posting the decks that topped the DM tournament here, as well as the vanguard tournament if possible, and do drop by if you are free to participate. The registration fee is 5 dollars, and the prizes are not set yet, but it will depend on the turn out, which currently is not bad.

Registration starts at 11, and the tournament will start at 1. No latecomers will be entertained :D.

DMD-03 Strong Metal Deck Review

DMD-03
The notable cards in DMD-03
1. Hell Scraper
2. Bukkomi Hedgehog
3. Yattarre Pipi
4. Natural Snare
5. Hyperspatial Bolshack Hole
6. Hyperspatial Shooting Hole
7. Shooting Exedrive
8. Purification Trap

These cards are the more worth cards in the deck, so i will be explaining why.
Hell Scraper - Shield Trigger, destroy any amount of creatures up to 5000. This is very powerful because it is a shield trigger, and it allows multiple targets to be targetted with its effect, and it is a staple for many decks.

Bukkomi Hedgehog - His effect is you can destroy him to stop a attack, this means that this is a extra blocker, but, this card can block for "cannot be blocked" creatures, as when this creature stops an attack, it does not block, instead, it stops the attack with its effect, thus crystal lancer rush just lost a key part of the combo.

Yatarre Pipi - Cards in duel masters is just getting more and more powerful. Firstly, they are giving us this card, 2 mana, 2000 power and they are also going to print a card that allows all hunters and aliens to gain each other in race.. This way, there are so many combos to be played soon.

Natural Snare - Staple Card for some decks

Bolshack Hole / Shooting Hole - Firstly, the can clear field, then you can summon Killer Dragon Gunlord with just one hole, so you have destroyed something on the field, and you summoned 2 psychics.

Purification Trap - Effect is choose any amount of graveyard and shuffle it into your opponent deck, also, you get a additional mana. This means, grave evolution rush and Mad Rock Chester decks just got owned, and you got a free mana :D

Personally, i think that this deck is not bad if you want to get those staples and stuff that i mentioned above, but for 59.90 in singapore, i will think that it will be more of a wise choice to get a DMC deck instead. If it was 35 USD like in other countries, it will still be considerable..

Alphadios Rush Deck!

This is a deck idea i got from some japanese guy, so this is not an original idea, i am just putting it here to show you guys this combo.

Okay the key cards to this deck is Colorful Dance, Alphadios, Gaga Shaula, Spirit of Understanding, Courtney, fairy of the summer breeze and some other angel commands.

The decklist is something like this.

4x Bronze Arm Tribe
4x Courtney of the Summer Breeze
1x Dandy Eggplant
4x Gaga Shaula, Spirit of Awakening
4x White knight HEAVEN
4x Alphadios, Lord of Spirits
4x Alcadeias, Lord of Spirits
4x Colorful Dance
4x Dimension Gate
3x Faerie Life
4x Logic Cube

Okay so this deck works like this, i will be doing a turn by turn explanation.

First turn - Draw and charge.
Second Turn - Draw and charge, play faerie life
Third Turn - Draw and charge, and summon Bronze Arm Tribe and Courtney
Fourth Turn - Summon Gaga Shaula, spirit of understanding
Fifth turn - Play colorful dance, colorful dance effect is you put the top five cards of your deck into your mana zone, then send 5 cards in your mana zone to your graveyard, you send the five tapped mana. Because courtney's effect, all mana is every civilization, and Gaga Shaula's effect, whenever you charge a nature mana, the next creature cost 1 less, so you have charged 5 nature mana. This means...

Alphadios = 10 -5 = 5
Alcadeias = 6 -5 = 1
HEAVEN = 8 -5 = 3

So now you have 5 untapped mana, you evolve either one of them on Gaga Shaula, since it is angel command. This way, you have just kind of locked your opponent on the 5th turn with alphadios. If he is playing a rush deck, play HEAVEN as everything goes back to the shields and rush never has a big hand, so he is practically locked too~

Duel Masters ( Volg Control Deck )

Creatures : 22

4x Fuuma Bajir, Soul Weapon
3x Exedrive / Pyrofighter Magnus ( Since they are the same )
3x Jenny, the Dismantling Doll
4x Mach 5 Swan, the Tempestous
1x M. Romanoff
3x Locomotiver
2x Fuuma Thrash Train / Mongrel Man
2x Dark Guy, Zero Romanoff / Romanoff the 1st

Spells : 18

2x Bolshack Hole
4x Raiden Hole
2x Kutt Hole
4x Ghost Touch
2x Cranium Clamp
4x Terror Pit

Hyperspatial Deck
2x Volg Set
2x Kutt, the temporal Brawler
2x Death April

WARNING : This is a fun deck, so please do not copy this deck, as this deck is very noob. It is just made for fun purposes and sharing purposes.

This deck has no main combo actually, the combo is just to burn your opponent's hand and control his field with vol tiger, the spells etc.

Firstly, there are a few ways to play this deck, the first way is to use jenny, ghost touch, cranium clamp, locomotiver etc. to burn the hand of your opponent, if your opponent plays a slow deck, a deck that needs to build up, then he is screwed if your opening hand is good as you will burn his hand away so he will need to make a choice whether to throw in a mana or keep it in his hand for the next turn, then we will discard that card away when he can use it, which practically makes him helpless.

How to summon and combo with volg.
1. Dark Guy. Use darkguy to throw raiden hole into the grave yard, then, when dark guy attacks, you can play raiden hole from your grave and shuffle it back into your deck. Only use this combo when you do not draw raiden hole out. If you draw raiden hole, use dark guy to play terror pits and other discarding spells.

2. Raiden hole with Fuuma Bajir, soul weapon. You can summon both parts of volg tiger with Raiden Hole's effect, by destroying one of your own creatures, you can summon both parts. Destroy Fuuma Bajir, his effect is when he is destroyed, your opponent discards a card or destroys a 3000 or less monster, since his hand is so low already, he might as well destroy a card on the field, and there goes one monster, and if because of the volg's effect, you mill your opponent's deck and destroy one more 2000 or less, which will totally rape a rush deck with all low powers.

Then, volg tiger will attack, and you will begin swarming the field with low mana stuff like Fuuma Bajir ( 3 mana ) again, using volg tiger's effect, he will also be discarding hand..

The other way to play this deck is bolshack hole.
The key strategy is the same, discard your opponent's hand, then bolshack hole and destroy a 3000 or less card on the field, and pull death april, Death april can totally control your opponent's hand and thus it makes him locked and he will have no hand and no shields soon, no creatures too!

Lol, just to say again, this is a fun deck, do not copy, if you keep losing ,it is not my problem LOL.

Dimension Police Deck list

G0 :17
1x Enigman Flow
4x Stand Trigger
4x Draw Trigger
4x Critical Trigger
4x Heal Trigger

G1 :14
2x Karenroid Daisy
4x Commander Laurel
2x Glory Maker
4x Enigman Ripple
2x Negater

G2 : 12
4x Enigman Wave
2x Twin Order
4x Cosmobeak
2x Grandel

G3 : 7
3x Daiyusha
2x Storm
2x Rain

This is my dimensional police deck list. This might look weird, because i am running 4 Command Laurels in this deck. However, this deck runs on a different basis, normally, i have seen dimensional police decks that play the double critical build, so they will use stuff like cosmobeak to give 4k power additional to either storm or daiyusha, so that they will have double critical, and opponent will either drop a negater or drop a lot of guard in case of trigger.

Now, this deck actually revolves around commander laurel.

Commander Laurel
Grade :1
Power :4000
Effect : When your dimension police vanguard's attack hit, you can rest four of your units to stand your vanguard.

So usually, this combo will come off at about the 3rd or 4th turn. By then, you will have about 4 or 5 damage. You start your turn by riding either enigman storm or daiyusha, i play daiyusha and enigman rain because in case my hand is not as perfect as i wanted it to be, and there is no enigman wave in my soul, i will rather ride rain or daiyusha, as rain's effect is easier to use, and daiyusha is easier to be boosted to a double critical.

So during your turn, you call a cosmobeak, and counter blast 2, this will give your vanguard 4k boost, which for daiyusha and storm, will give them a double critical, and for rain, will allow him to stand a rear guard if his attack hits.

Then, lets say you have glory maker as your vanguard's boost. As you have 4 damage, glory maker will become a 10000 boost when it boosts a dimension police vanguard. So a enigman storm will be 25k without any boost while enigman rain and daiyusha will be 24k boost.

Now this is the key part where my deck works differently. You will use the first attack to attack the rear guard. If he has any low attack interceptors, kill them. Lets say his grade 2 or grade 3 10k, 24k will give him a minimum 15k guard, and 25k will give him a minimum 20k guard. If he guards this attack, commander laurel will not be able to activate his effect, but u have succesfully burnt away almost your opponent's whole hand, and you still get to twin drive, if your opponent has guard 1 trigger pass, it is most likely that you are going to hit the vanguard, since you have a twin drive.

This way, your opponent might have dropped 2 cards at least ( if he has dropped a negator, e.g. barri, isolde ), but if he has dropped a negator, he will have wasted a good card in his hand.
Lets say he has guarded against that attack, his hand is very low now, most likely, during that turn, his damage will be about 4 too. If he has guarded with perfect guard or 2 trigger past, you can give all trigger effects to a rear guard that has not attacked, and the rear guard will still be able to attack your opponent, and he might not have any hand cards to guard himself.

However, if he did not guard that attack, this is where the fun part starts. You can activate commander laurel's ability and stand your vanguard by resting 4 of your units, which will be the 2 side columns.

Then, because cosmobeak gives the additional 4k power for the whole turn, so your vanguard will be either 15k or 14k still. It will be workable with all 3 grade 3 vanguards in the deck. If it is daiyusha or enigman storm, they still have a base critical of 2, but if it is rain, when rain's attack hits, you can stand your rear guard, so stand the glory maker behind the vanguard, and you can go for another 24k hit.

However, this is not the best part, the best part is that, you get a quadruple drive this turn. You drive checked 4 cards. Commander laurel's effect does not affect the twin drive, so you twin drive twice, which means, you have a considerable hand size to guard now, and you have a very high chance of pulling a trigger.

So this is my dimensional police deck. Any suggestions and comments can be posted below. :)
Bye~!
